COOKIES POLICY
Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (“LSSI-CE”) of July 11 establishes the obligation of blog service providers and websites to warn and inform users (the “Users”) about the existence of cookie technology, what they are, how they work and the permissions required to use them.
In compliance with the LSSI-CE, this website (hereinafter, the “Website”) collects and uses User information as indicated in the Privacy Policy and Legal Notice. In this regard, one of the ways in which BVERTIKAL collects information is through the use of cookies.
1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
A cookie is a small amount of information stored in your browser (such as Google Chrome or Apple Safari) when you browse most websites, so that the browser remembers certain information that only the entity that implemented it can subsequently read (hereinafter, “Cookies”).
This Website is accessible without cookies being enabled, although disabling them may prevent it from functioning correctly.
Viruses, trojans, worms, spam, spyware and pop-up windows are not Cookies.
2. WHAT INFORMATION DO COOKIES STORE?
Information collected through Cookies consists of technical and statistical data (which may include the date and time of Website visits, pages viewed, time spent on the Website), personal preferences and content personalization, among others.
However, none of the Cookies allow the storage of phone numbers or any other personal contact information, nor sensitive personal information such as credit card numbers and/or banking data, photographs and/or personal information, among others. Cookies cannot extract information from users’ hard drives or steal personal information. The only way for Users’ private information to become part of Cookie files is for users to personally provide that information to the server and consent to that data transfer and storage.
3. WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES EXIST?
Technical Cookies: These are the most basic and allow, among other things, knowing when a human being or an automated application is browsing, when an anonymous or registered user is browsing — in other words, basic tasks for the functioning of any dynamic website.
Analytics Cookies: These collect information about the type of browsing you are doing, the sections you use most, products consulted, usage time periods and language, among others.
Advertising Cookies: These display advertising based on browsing behavior, country of origin and language, among other factors.
4. WHAT ARE FIRST-PARTY AND THIRD-PARTY COOKIES?
First-Party Cookies
These are cookies sent to the User’s computer or device and managed exclusively by BVERTIKAL for the better functioning of the Website. The information collected is used to improve the quality of the Website, its content and services, as well as the User experience. These Cookies allow recurring visitors to the Website to be recognized and content to be adapted to offer content that matches their preferences.
The entity or entities responsible for providing cookies may share this information with third parties, provided this is required by law or a third party processes this information on behalf of such entities.
First-Party Cookies used by BVERTIKAL
Session Cookies. Allow the User to log in and out of the Website.
Personalization Cookies. Help remember which people or websites the User has interacted with, so that related content can be shown.
Preference Cookies. Allow the User’s settings and preferences to be remembered, such as preferred language and privacy settings.
Security Cookies. Prevent security risks, primarily for detecting hacking attempts or obtaining any sensitive information on the Website or from the User.
Third-Party Cookies
These are cookies that allow access from the Website. For this reason, they are Cookies that are typically stored in the User’s browser. Cookie owners have their own data protection and cookie policies, being themselves responsible in each case for their own files and privacy practices. Users should refer to these policies to learn about such cookies and, where applicable, the processing of their personal data.
Third-Party Cookies used by BVERTIKAL
WordPress: BVERTIKAL uses the WordPress blog supply and hosting platform, owned by the American company Automattic, Inc. https://automattic.com/en.
Use of Cookies on the Website
The Cookies used on the Website are associated only with an anonymous User and their computer, and do not provide references that allow the User’s name and surname to be deduced. They cannot read data from the User’s hard drive or include viruses in their text. Furthermore, the Website cannot read Cookies placed on the User’s hard drive from other servers.
This Website, like most, includes functionalities provided by third parties (see section 3.2 above). In this regard, new designs or third-party services are regularly tested for recommendations and reports. This may occasionally modify Cookie settings and cause Cookies not detailed in this Policy to appear. It is important to note that these are temporary Cookies that cannot always be reported in advance, and they are only used for study and evaluation purposes. If they were to become permanent, they would be included in the Policy. Finally, BVERTIKAL will never use Cookies that compromise your privacy or sensitive information.
5. WHAT INFORMATION DO COOKIES STORE?
The information collected through Cookies consists of technical and statistical data (which may include the date and time of Website visits, pages viewed, time spent on the Website), personal preferences and content personalization, among others.
6. AUTHORIZATION FOR COOKIE USE
In accordance with the LSSI-CE, User consent is required for the Website to use Cookies. This authorization must be based on an authentic choice, offered through an affirmative and positive decision by the User.
In this regard, BVERTIKAL has placed a Cookie notice (“Cookie Notice”) at the bottom of all pages of the Website, in which the User accepts that, by browsing the Website and clicking a button expressly, they accept the use of Cookies as established in this Cookies Policy and the Legal Notice.
7. DISABLING OR BLOCKING COOKIES
To restrict, block or delete Cookies, the User must do so through their browser settings.
Google Chrome: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/61416?hl=en
Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enable-and-disable-cookies-website-preferences
Internet Explorer: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/block-or-allow-cookies
If the User does not want the Website to place Cookies on their device, they can adjust their browser settings so that they are notified before any Cookies are placed. Similarly, they can adjust settings so that the browser rejects all Cookies, or only Third-Party Cookies. They can also delete any Cookies already on their device. Users must separately adjust the settings of each browser and device they use.
If Cookies are not accepted, BVERTIKAL cannot guarantee that the Website will function properly. Some features may be lost and certain sections of the Website may no longer be visible.
Each browser has a different method for adjusting settings. If necessary, Users should consult the browser’s help function to establish the correct configuration.
Finally, to disable Cookies on mobile phones, Users should consult the manual for their specific device for more information.
8. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT COOKIES
Without prejudice to the provisions of this Policy, Users can consult the cookie regulations published by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) in their “Guide on the Use of Cookies” and/or obtain more information about them on the internet, for example at http://www.aboutcookies.org/.
9. CHANGES TO THE COOKIES POLICY
BVERTIKAL reserves the right to modify, at any time and without prior notice, this Cookies Policy. In such cases, BVERTIKAL will update the Cookies Policy on the Website and notify Users of the changes via email.
